Tavita L-Glutamine

With too little l glutamine the intestines atrophy, or shrink. The villi (tiny projections in the intestine) shorten and become ineffective. This leads to poor uptake of nutrients in general, malnutrition and "Leaky Gut Syndrome", in which undigested food leaks out of the intestines and into the blood. This can trigger autoimmune diseases.
