ImmiFlex® contains Wellmune WGP® (Beta 1,3/1,6 Gluco Polysaccharide), potent structural carbohydrates derived from the cell walls of Bakers yeast, as well as a high levels of Vitamin D, which both are well known to stimulate our immune system. ImmiFlex® primes macrophages, neutrophils and natural killer cells to defend the body against a broad range of infectious and other challenges. What is Wellmune® Beta Glucan?
Wellmune WGP® is a natural ingredient that activates the largest population of immune cells to that are a major part of the body’s natural defenses. Derived from the cell walls of a proprietary strain of yeast, this unique gluco polysaccharride acts as a biological response modifier. As the immune system evolved, it became very adept at killing yeast and fungi by recognizing certain molecules that commonly occur on the cell surface of these challenges. Wellmune WGP is one such recognition molecule. Wellmune WGP binds to specific receptors (CR3) on neutrophils, the most abundant immune cell in the body, and activates its anti-microbial activity, including immune cell migration to the site of a challenge (chemotaxis) and increased killing of potential health challenges (phagocytosis and oxidative burst). The molecular structure of Wellmune WGP, with its beta 1,3/1,6 branch points, is responsible for its unique biological activity. 

Yeast sensitivity
An important factor in the production process of Wellmune WGP, the active ingredient in ImmiFlex®, is that the protein elements of the cell (which may trigger yeast sensitivity in some people) are removed. This leaves just the active beta glucan. This is one of the factors that sets ImmiFlex® apart from most other beta glucan products. So there are no grounds for concern if you are worried about candida.

Research
Numerous studies have defined Wellmune WGP’s activity at the cellular level.
